**IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?** This course offering is designed for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to learn about Aboriginal Language and culture, either for personal reasons or as part of their work requirements. This can include staff within NSW AECG, early childhood education, Schools, and Universities, as well as from businesses and other Government agencies to provide an understanding and respect of Aboriginal people. Participation is open to Aboriginal peoples. Aboriginal peoples are of Aboriginal descent, identify as Aboriginal and are accepted as such by the local Aboriginal community. Participation by non-Aboriginal people is subject to local Aboriginal community approval. It is an expectation that Non-Aboriginal People and Aboriginal people living off Country, must seek local approval to undertake this course. Please speak with your local Aboriginal Engagement Coordinator. Basic knowledge or skills are required for course entry, although it is strongly encouraged that the learner has completed 10703NAT Cert I in Fundamental Aboriginal Languages for Personal Use. However, students with a good basic knowledge of Aboriginal languages (specifically Gamilaraay) may be able to enter directly at the Cert II level. Specific language group for the offering is Gamilaraay. **SERVICES AND STUDY SUPPORT**
